I wanted to make something that would be helpful and fun during this scary school year, when so many kids, including my own, are stuck at home most days. So I teamed up with a super-librarian, reached out to writers, and we started making this thing up as we went along. I’ve really enjoyed watching readers interact with their favorite authors on screen – the kids are nervous, they’re in awe, but they also want to win! And most of the time they do win, proving they know the books even better than the people who wrote them. And there’s something really beautiful about that.
